Nathan and Tucker
Having a passion for the outdoors, my decision to become a professional forester was a natural career choice. I received my Bachelor's degree in Forestry from NC State University and have actively practiced the art and science of Forestry ever since.
I began my career as a Procurement Forester in private industry and then worked for several years as an Assistant District Forester for the NC Forest Service. In 1992, I launched Taylor Forestry becoming a professional consultant forester. This allowed me to work with private woodland owners helping them achieve their financial and aesthetic goals. My knowledge of the local forestry industry as well as the governing laws and policies allows me to provide the landowner comprehensive services built on knowledge, integrity, and respect for the environment.

Raised in western New York, I followed my father's career path in the Forestry industry. He worked as a forester for For-Con, a premier forestry business in the northern United States. After my father passed away, I moved to North Carolina and have been employed by Taylor Forestry for the past 15 years.
As you can see from the picture above, my dog Tucker and I spend most of our days in the woods cruising timber. Year round, in all kinds of weather, you will find me in the woods. I truly enjoy the woodlands of North Carolina, South Carolina, land Virginia and am appreciative of the opportunity to work in the beautiful setting nature provides.
Tucker comes with me most days and spends his time exploring the streams, understory, rocks and caves. A man, his dog, and the great outdoors...what else could a man want?
